【摘要】本文针对近年来我国远程教育蓬勃发展的良好势头，以及日趋激烈的竞争态势，提出远程教育院校应当审时度势、从长计议和勤练内功，才能真正把握机遇、保持旺盛的生命力，实现事业的可持续发展。
