高校英语教师对课堂教学评价标准的理解*

【摘要】课堂教学评价是提升高等学校教育质量的重要手段,而课堂教学评价标准的确定又是实施课堂教学评价的关键性环节。为了调查分析目前高校英语教师对课堂教学评价标准的理解,本研究对全国198所高校的200多名大学英语骨干教师进行了调查,并对调查结果采用主题一致分析法和因子分析法进行分析。调查结果显示,绝大多数学校没有制定适合英语教学的课堂评价标准,评价指标集中在教师的“教”方面,对学生的“学”关注不够。基于上述研究,本文提出,高校英语课堂教学评价标准应突出“向生性”,突出专业及课程特色。最后,本研究制定了大学英语课堂教学评价量表供同行参考。

A Descriptive Study of English Teachers Understanding

of the Standards for the College Teaching Evaluation

Abstract: The establishment of standards for college English teaching is a crucial step in implementing classroom teaching evaluation. In order to investigate and analyze college English teachers' understanding of these evaluation standards, the study investigated 200 college English teachers from 198 collegesand analyzed data using topic accordance and factor analysis method. The results show that the majority of colleges have not specified the standards for college English teaching evaluation. And some of the evaluation standards focus on teaching rather than learning. The study suggests that the standards for college English teaching evaluation should focus on students' learning outcomes, and on course characteristics.The college English teaching evaluation scale is enclosed as a reference.
