网络课程可用性个案研究

    【摘要】在网络课程的设计与开发过程中,人们往往优先考虑其教学性(主要体现在教学目标、教学内容、教学活动和教学评价等方面)和技术性(主要体现在资源媒体开发、功能开发和技术标准等方面),而对其可用性(主要表现在易学、易用、高效、低错误率和高满意度等方面)关注不足,即对学习者的学习体验关注不足。本文主要围绕网络课程的可用性以及影响网络课程可用性的要素这一主题,对华东师范大学国家网络精品课程《心理学导论》的可用性情况展开个案研究。本案例研究的首要目的在于测试该门课程原型的设计是否合理,是否受学习者欢迎,学习者的体验是否良构;其次,把该案例作为网络课程可用性测试的典型案例之一,为提炼出影响网络课程可用性设计的要素提供一手参考资料,总结出高可用性的网络课程之间共有的可用性质量要素。

A Case Study of the Usability for Online Couresware

Abstract: When developing online courses, people primarily think about their pedagogical properties (the pedagogical goal, content, interactive activities and its evaluation) and the technologies (what multimedia to use, what application to develop and technological standards),.and tend to place less attention on the usability (learnability, effectiveness, efficiency, low error rate and high satisfaction) of these courses. This paper reports the results of a case study on the usability of an online course named "Introduction to Psychology". The main purpose is to test if the design of this course is reasonable and welcomed by the learners. The second purpose is to investigate the key factors affecting usability of this course. The third purpose is to take the test as a usability testing sample for online courses. It is our belief that the best online course presents a number of interesting usability solutions and challenges whose real usability would be of interest to a wider audience.
