Editorial: Quality is one of the timeless topics during the development of distance higher education. Many distance education institutions, especially the institutions in developing countries, are making great efforts to provide high quality education for more and more students with low cost. In order to know more about the quality assurance in distance education, we are honoured to interview with Dr. Aminudin Zuhairi, who is the Head of Quality Assurance Centre in Indonesia's Universitas Terbuka (UT). Then the readers will understand the efforts and innovations of UT in quality assurance.
